Growing up, I was obsessed with money. I told my family & friends from a very young age that I was going to be rich. I sometimes wondered if I should be ashamed saying that? You know the whole money is the root of all evil argument…

The answer is absolutely not.

Something very important to realize is…↓

Money is a tool. It’s nothing but an inanimate object that supplements our modern lifestyle. Money is like a hammer, if I don’t plan ahead and watch what I’m doing, I could very easily slam the head of the hammer on my thumb causing the most excruciating pain one could ever feel.

You know what’s even worse than the physical pain of a hammer slamming on your thumb?

The pain of personal financial ruin in your soul when there seems to be no way out.

Okay…maybe that’s a little dramatic, but it can engulf your life and day to day sanity if you don’t have it under control.

That’s no way to live.

Money can also give you the opportunity to make a difference in this world and change lives for the better

Which is my true passion for becoming wealthy

A quote I like to stick with is:

“Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance”

With anything in life, sports, business, hobbies, etc. if you meticulously plan out your success, you are more likely to not only achieve your goals but burst through them.

Growing up with such a goal oriented mindset, it’s not surprising those same values carried over into my mindset of wealth and success.

Now let’s fast forward a little bit so I don’t become redundant and bore you to death (if I haven’t already)

Like most young millennial married couples, finance is a big and daunting topic in our relationship.

From budgeting to saving to planning a healthy financial future, it can be overwhelming to say the least. But having the financial discussion early and often has afforded us opportunities and experiences that we otherwise wouldn’t have had if we avoided it like most young individuals these days.
